Annotation

The course is intended for those interested from among the general public who know the basics of Latin grammar - especially the tenses of regular (and deponent) verbs in the present indicative of the active, pronouns, nouns 1.-5. declension, adjectives 1.–3. declination, gradation, present participle active. The course is based on reading the textbook Lingua latina per se illustrata (Familia Romana) in the range of roughly 16-20. chapters of the first volume. In this way, students will become familiar with the passive (in Indian pr. act.), with numbers, with adverbs, and with the imperfect and future indicatives. The reading with explanations of the grammar used is complemented by Latin quotations.
